Jan Spěváček, in his current exhibition, used his recent experience with the creation of a mural fresco painting inspired by the spirit of late Baroque and Rococo painting which he realised during the completion of a new ambit of the former late Baroque monestary complex in Mariánská Týnice near Plzeň, originally designed by the architect Santini. The exhibition presents the artist's reflection of the interpretation of the old masters´s painting in his own contemporary work. The artist has thus incorporated his unique experience into his traditional themes, which are both well-mastered figurative painting and the motif of bodies of water.
