Old is mixed with new, it organically blends. Lenka Černotová’s wolf remains her main element in all her reflections on painting and sequential realizations. Wolf as a symbol of change and motion. The life itself is always more complicated than its abstract, fine art form.
Lenka took an adventurous trip to the planet of Wolves and to the planet of Arts. Similarly to the Little Prince, she encounters various dangers and unreadable characters. It is Lenka’s astral way to her own “self” and wolves are the planets (centre points of her space) which transform into pictures like elusive organisms. Once you touch them, they dissolve into something less readable, but even more beautiful.
Lenka Černotová, MFA. Ing. Ph.D. (*1985) graduated from prof. Vladimír Kokolia’s atelier at the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague. She lives and works in Prague.
Lately, Lenka has been delving deeper and deeper into the human soul. A wolf has been her guide on the road for many years. The road began at the Faculty of Restoration of the University of Pardubice in Litomyšl. Then, Lenka studied Technical University of Ostrava and Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, and after that – Prague. The wolf is Lenka’s fellow traveller who helps her materialise and depict her thoughts – mostly in form of abstract pictures and mind maps. |
