8. 6. - 8. 10. 2017 The summer Exhibition in the premises of the Pardubice Chateau is dedicated to one of the distinctive names of the czech art of the 20th century. On the work of the painter and theorist Emil Filla (1882 - 1953) we look with the optics of a collection that has been acquired over several decades in the collection of the East Bohemian Gallery. The show is focused on the confrontation of Fill´s mature and late works with the early works of his pupils, who in 1946 - 1953 graduated in his studio of monumental painting at the Academy of Arts and Crafts in Prague. Among these personalities were Čestmír Kafka, Milan Grygar, Vladimír Jarcovják, Jaroslav Klápště, Zbyněk Sekal, Karel Vaca, Jitka and Květa Válová, or Václav Menčík or Václav Kiml. |
