A festival of fans of country and tramp music Porta was created in Ústí nad Labem fifty years ago. The final of this competition show has shifted several time because of the vigilance of the authorities towards any alternative culture. It was not until the 1980s that the festival settled in Pilsen and grew to tens of thousands of visitors.
