The grotesque tradition in Czech art has been developing since the Rudolfinian period and has returned to us at various stages of history. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and during the normalization of the 70s, when it became an established phenomenon. Today, another, new generation of artists who create in a post-production or post-grotesque spirit, but still with an ironic reflection of current social development or a unique vision of the future, belongs to the direction of Czech grotesque.
