The exhibition commemorates an important milestone of modern Czechoslovak librarianship, which was the first law on libraries – The General Public Libraries Act No. 430/ Coll., of July 22nd 1919, and the following implementation document – The Order of the Government of the Czechoslovak Republic of November 5th 1919, and their influence on building a uniquely dense network of public libraries.
