Truth Futurism brings into the exhibition context Metahaven’s online film project Information Skies commissioned by the 11th Gwagju Biennale. Metahaven, dutch collective founded by Vinca Kruk and Daniel van der Velden, operates on borderlines between graphic design, visual arts, aesthetics and political discourse. Information Skies, conceived as a continuation of the documentary film The Sprawl (Propaganda About Propaganda), opens up a vision of new post-human identity transformed by virtual reality experiences in a collage of live footage and animation. Questioning understanding of conventionalised idea of “truth” and “law” in times when is artificial fabrication of belief systems loosing any boundaries or relation to our reality.
