“The Hermitage’s Carl Fabergé Rooms preserve the memory of the court jeweller and Hermitage restorer and are intended to stimulate both the study of his legacy and the development of the traditions that he established. It is this purpose that is served by the collection of works by modern-day gemstone-carvers, superb artists with fine taste, that we are presenting today,” Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky, General Director of the State Hermitage, commented.
