The exhibition spanning three floors of the DOX Centre´s tower is an artistic dialogue of two personalities who are also partners in life: Patrik Hábl (*1975) is one of the most prominent painters of the Czech contemporary art scene, and an artist working not only with painting but also with space. Poet, slammer, architect and urban planner Anna Beata Háblová (*1983) ingeniously connects words and space.

The two forms of their artistic expression meet in the space of the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in their first joint exhibition. The two artists use various means to explore the terrains of their respective media. They meet in a common territory of word and image to reflect on anxieties, disintegration, and transience, but also on the unceasing effort for reinterpretation and reconstruction of coherence and meaning where it seems to have been lost.

Fragments of faces. Shards of words. How can you read an image through the sediments of time, how can a stream of words embrace the future, when (as the poetess says) "between solitudes there is such othere presence".
