David Saudek is an overwhelming artistic personality of a powerful postmodern generation who entered the cultural scene in the 1990s. Already during his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (1991-1997), where he passed through the Ateliér sculpture, prof. Stanislav Kolibal and the New Media Studio prof. Michaela Bielického (who also acted as an assistant), he developed himself as an author able to develop his artistic expression in a broader spectrum of means of expression. His creative beginnings were connected with gesture painting. Subsequently, the main focus of his work was transferred to the field of new media (video art, video installation) and a film in which he was awarded several times.
