The exhibition will present one of the founding personalities of Czech modern art, Miloš Jiránek, a painter, a literary writer, a art critic, and an organizer of the artistic life of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. In his extensive work of art influenced by French Impressionism and subsequent modern trends, Jiránek strived for a new concept, especially figural painting, as well as portraiture, landscape painting and themes depicting everyday life.
