The aim of this extensive exhibition, which takes place in all the halls of the Komenského 10 building, is to present again after the time the collection of the Vysočina Regional Gallery in Jihlava and to present visitors less known works from the depositaries. It is a theme-oriented showcase of paintings, drawings, graphics and sculptures weighing on displaying food in a broader context, from its birth (crop production, cattle breeding), production, preparation to serving and consumption?

The core part of the exhibition are the lifestyle of food and drink, a genre that has a rich history in the history of fine arts, and which after a certain period of neglect, of course in modern form, again enjoys the popularity of artists, especially photographers, and is connected with the worldwide growth of interest in culture of gastronomy. For example, works by Ludvík Kuba, Jan Slavíček, Emil Filla, Jan Zrzavý, Arnošt Paderlík, Cyril Bouda, Otakar Kubín, Václav Hejna, Josef Liesler, Václav Rabas and many other artists.
