Jiřina Hankeová 

Narodila se v r. 1948 v Kladně, kde doposud žije. Ve své tvorbě má široký záběr, od kresby a malby, přes poezii a písňové texty až k fotografii.Té se věnovala již za středoškolského studia, ale posléze našla tvůrčí vyjádření hlavně v kresbě a malbě. Obrazy a kresby
začala vystavovat již v sedmdesátých letech. V osmdesátých letech ji silně ovlivnilo přátelství se skupinou Trasa, zejména dílo Olbrama Zoubka a sester Válových. V devadesátých letech se její tvorba rozrostla o písňové texty na hudbu dcery Lucie. Vydala několik básnických sbírek. Na přelomu století se opět vrátila k fotografii, aniž by opustila předchozí tvůrčí aktivity. Fotografie vystavovala na více než třiceti samostatných výstavách v České republice i zahraničí.

She was born in Kladno 1948, where she still lives today. Her artistic work ranges from drawing and painting to poetry and lyrics and to photography. She took up photography during her secondary school studies, but eventually found her creative expression mainly in drawing and painting. She started to exhibit paintings and drawings as early as in the 1970s. In the 1980s, she was strongly influenced by her friendship with the Trasa group, especially by the work of Olbram Zoubek and the Válová sisters. In the 1990s she added writing lyrics to her work, based on her daughter Lucie´s music. She published several books of poetry. At the turn of the century she returned to photography without leaving her previous creative activities. She has exhibited her photographs at more than thirty solo exhibitions both in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Jitka Válová 
Narodila se v roce 1922 v Kladně, kde v roce 2011 zemřela. Její tvorba byla úzce spojena s tvorbou sestry – dvojčete Květy. Obě studovaly VŠUP v Praze v ateliéru profesora Emila Filly (1945–50). 
Jitka se věnovala malbě, kresbě a grafice. Tvořila a vystavovala 
až do své smrti, převážně se skupinou Trasa. Svůj talent uplatňo-
vala hlavně ve figurální tvorbě. Její útlé a protáhlé postavy byly zachyceny v pohybu, vypovídají o vztazích, osudech, náladách, často v extrémních situacích. Pracovala u soustruhu a pokud měla čas, kreslila oceláře v provozu. První výstava, kterou měla v r. 1960 společně se sestrou v divadle Rokoko, nesla název Člověk a ocel, oficiální kritika ji ale nepřijala. Další výstavu obě sestry uspořádaly ve Špálově galerii v roce 1966, až ta jim přinesla uznání. V roce 2007 získala ocenění Artis Bohemiae Amicis. Jitka Válová zemřela v březnu 2011 ve věku 88 let.

She was born in 1922 in Kladno, where she died in 2011. Her work was closely related to the one of her sister - the twin Květa. They both studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in the studio of Professor Emil Filla (1945–50). Jitka devoted herself to painting, drawing and graphics. She built and exhibited until her death, mostly with the group “Trasa”. Her talent was mainly used in figural creation. Her slender and elongated figures were captured in motion, testifying about relationships, fates, moods, often in extreme situations. She worked at the lathe, and when she had time, she drew steelworkers at work. The first exhibition she had with her sister in 1960 at the Rokoko Theater was called Man and Steel, but it was refused by the official art critics. Another exhibition was held by the two sisters at the Václav Špála Gallery in 1966, where they finally received recognition. In 2007 the artist was awarded the Artis Bohemiae Amicis Award. Jitka Válová died in March 2011 at the age of 88.
