Maleček blunts the sharpened, wounding points of romantic unbridledness, discord and revolting moods to transform everything into balladic, bitterly smiling fairy tales, which, however, do not renounce the dark depths from which they are drawn. They are legendary messages about the place where the author lives, about the space he shares, about identity, dreams, about unfulfilled desires and reconciliation. His paintings reveal night forests, sharply curved mountain roads, dramatic clouds, moths, spiders and predators, magical herbs and mystical mushrooms. He creates a dramatic world of twists and turns in which, through his unique imagination, he evokes the taming of an evil chimera that creeps into life as a seductive, tempting, and destructive melancholy.
