Giacometti – Picasso – Chirico
From collection of Helmut Klewan
Helmut Klewan, the former Munich Gallery, gathered a unique collection of several hundred works of art by European artists of the 20th century. His interest continues to focus on Austrian post-war art. The exhibition, which was first presented at the Kunstsammlungen und Museen Augsburg and then at the Belveder Gallery in Vienna, will present artists who have never exhibited in the Czech Republic!
The exhibition features more than 150 works of art from 60 authors from the private collection of Helmut Klewan. His collection includes exceptional works of classical modernity and within it also a significant collection of Austrian post-war art. The collection includes paintings, graphics and statues of Albert Giacometti, Pablo Picassa, Giorgio de Chirica, Kurt Schwirts, Jean Dubuffet, Francis Bacon, Maria Lassnig, Arnulf Rainer, Günter Brusa and many other world-famous artists.
Guided tours with Anna Habanová: August 17 and September 7, always at 10:30 and 17:00.
